An IBS Dietitian Who Looks for the Cause,
Not Just a Coping Strategy
If a doctor has waved off your symptoms as just IBS, you're in good company. Most of my clients heard some version of that for years before anyone took the time to ask why their gut behaves the way it does. One of them put it perfectly: doctors would write it off as IBS, but with a real plan there was finally an answer and hope for a solution.
That's the difference I want you to feel. Managing IBS is helpful. Finding what's underneath it, so you stop white-knuckling your way through meals, is the goal.

Why generic IBS
advice falls short
Eat more fiber and reduce stress aren't wrong, they're just incomplete. IBS symptoms can be driven by specific fermentable carbohydrates (FODMAPs), by motility, by stress amplifying gut signals, or by some combination. Stress, for the record, doesn't cause IBS, but it can absolutely make it louder. Without knowing which levers matter for your body, generic advice is a guess.
The low-FODMAP diet,
done right
The low-FODMAP diet is one of the most evidence-based tools for IBS, but it's often done wrong. It has three phases, and the reintroduction phase matters as much as the elimination phase. Staying in strict elimination forever isn't the goal and can do more harm than good. As a Monash-certified low-FODMAP dietitian, I'll walk you through all three so you end up with the widest, most livable diet your gut can handle, not a permanently shrinking list of safe foods.
