I'm Sarah Mirkin RDN, CPT, LD — a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with over 25 years of clinical experience based in Beverly Hills, serving Pacific Palisades clients virtually. My practice specializes in Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), and sustainable weight management — conditions that require a level of expertise most generalist dietitians simply don't have.
Why Standard Approaches Often Fail
IBS is one of the most common and most mismanaged digestive conditions. Most people are told to manage stress, try fiber supplements, or take probiotics — advice that is not only unhelpful for many, but can actively make things worse if SIBO is present.
Up to 80% of people with IBS actually have SIBO as the root cause. Fiber and probiotics feed the bacteria — making symptoms significantly worse. The correct approach begins with proper testing and a targeted dietary protocol.
I am Monash University certified in the low-FODMAP diet — the most rigorously researched dietary intervention for IBS and SIBO in the world. My personal experience with SIBO, including being among the first patients to complete a breath test through Dr. Mark Pimentel's research at Cedars-Sinai, gives me insight that goes beyond clinical training.

Every program is one-on-one, evidence-based, and built around your individual needs. Clients receive weekly private sessions, a secure platform with meal ideas, recipes, low-FODMAP resources, and grocery shopping lists. Two accountability levels are available including daily food journal review for maximum support.
